SISTERHOOD

Dear Members and Fellow Congregants,

 

This past season has been our most successful one in many years. When asked why one should become a member of Sisterhood, we need only to review our many programs in the past year to answer that question. We have become the venue for education, community, camaraderie and enrichment that we have been striving to achieve. Through our recent meetings and speakers, assisting and providing Jewish experiences for our children, and our active participation in leading services, we have earned the privilege of calling ourselves a true Sisterhood within our TBS Community.

 

We thank all of you who participated and helped to make these activities so successful. Most of all, we would like to thank Carolyn Rosenfield, Bev Borts, Sara Denaberg, Barbara Greenberg and all our lovely models for our Fashion Show and Card Party. Thank you to Barbara Marcus, Janet Licker, Wendy Roy, Shari Daniel, Dee Crouch, Susan Wood, and all the Men's Club members who helped to make our first annual Passover BBQ such a rousing success. Plans are already in the works for next year's event. Special thanks to Alan Rosenberg for his wonderful fruit salad, and to Jeff Marcus, Ron Flax and Paul Licker for their culinary skills, and general all-around assistance whenever needed. We especially thank Bob Mandel for presenting the idea to hold a Passover BBQ.

 

As activities begin to wind down for the summer, we are already beginning to plan for next year. We would appreciate any suggestions and assistance for making the coming year even more successful.
